FRSC declares ‘Operation Show Your Driver’s License’ in Rivers

The Rivers State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, said it recently discovered that motorists in the state drive without driver’s licence and therefore will commence a two-day enforcement tagged “Operation Show Your Driver’s Licence.”

The State Sector Commander, Salisu Galadunci, in a statement by Public Enlightenment Officer, Juliana Eni, also expressed worry over the rate at which motorists speed on the highway within the Port Harcourt metropolis.

The Sector Commander, subsequently directed FRSC operatives in Port Harcourt, Eleme, Ahoada, Isiokpo and Bonny Island, to embark on a special enforcement to clamp down on drivers without driving licence and others violating traffic rules and regulations as a measure to instil discipline on the highways.

He called on the public to abide by the law, and to give FRSC personnel the necessary cooperation during the special operation that is to commence from Tuesday 4th to Friday 8th April, 2023.

Galadunchi assured that his men have been trained to be fair, firm and friendly.
