Barcelona’s ex-winger to join Ronaldo in Saudi Pro League

Former Barcelona winger, Philippe Coutinho is set to join Al-Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League (SPL).

According to Football Insider, Coutinho, who currently plays for Premier League club, Aston Villa, is attracting interest from SPL and is subject to a mega offer from a Saudi Arabian club.

Coutinho’s current contract with Aston Villa will expire at the end of the 2025-26 season.

It’s understood that Coutinho’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, is in talks with an undisclosed SPL club about a move to the Middle East at the end of the season.

While Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has hopes of reigniting Coutinho’s form, there will be little pushback should the Brazilian star ask to be allowed to leave Villa Park.
