Buhari reacts to Ladi Bako’s death, condoles family

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, reacted to the death of Hajiya Ladi Bako, wife of Audu Bako, late Military Governor of the old Kano State.

Buhari joined family, friends and the government and the people of both Kano and Jigawa states in mourning the death of Ladi Bako, who was one of the most powerful women in the political system during her time.

This was disclosed in a statement by Garba Shehu, a Senior Special Assistant to the President.

Buhari also said the deceased would be remembered for her faithfulness to the Kano community.

In a tribute, Buhari said: “The late Hajiya Ladi was a great lady. She defined an era and will always be remembered for her faithfulness to her family and the Kano community.

“May Allah give courage and perseverance to those she left behind to bear this irreparable loss.”
