Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged Christians to use the Easter celebrations as an opportunity to reflect on the divine sacrifice of Jesus Christ. In his Easter message, signed by his spokesperson Olawale Rasheed and obtained in Osogbo on Friday, Adeleke emphasized that Easter highlights the immeasurable power of love. He called on the faithful to let the lessons of Jesus’s sacrifice continually influence their lives and to uphold the values of love and compassion that lie at the heart of the holiday. According to the governor, love not only fosters a peaceful society but also drives meaningful progress. He described Easter as a classic example of love’s power, noting that Jesus gave Himself to save humanity from the consequences of its transgressions. Beyond the festivities, Adeleke said Easter serves as a reminder that love can save and that people should adopt a culture of self‑less service, caring for one another and showing tolerance despite differences.

Similarly, former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Dotun Babayemi, issued an Easter message expressing optimism that a better Nigeria is achievable if everyone works together. Babayemi called on Nigerians to maintain religious harmony and to recognize their shared destiny of unity. He wrote, “Our people should know for sure, and by continuing to believe, that the Nigeria of their dream is achievable if we all work towards it. Nobody from anywhere in this world will do this for us except us.” He further urged the people of Osun to continue cohabiting in peace, stating that “nowhere is home more alluring than peace.”
