Foreign Minister Lejeune Mbella of Cameroon announced on Friday that visa entry applications to the country will be processed online starting April 30. Applicants will complete the procedure within 72 hours of pre‑enrollment, or within 24 hours for express visa applications. All applications must be submitted exclusively through the website www.evisacam.cm, where an online visa authorisation will be issued to each applicant.
Once the authorisation is received, applicants can obtain their visas either at a diplomatic mission or at a border post. For those living far from a diplomatic mission or in areas not covered by one, the online visa authorisation will include a QR code that completes the process.
Mbella explained that Cameroon’s e‑visa system is intended to make the country a more attractive destination, address the concerns of the Cameroonian diaspora, and bring the consular system in line with the highest international standards.
