Samuel Chukwueze was the star of the match as Villarreal came from behind to beat reigning champions, Real Madrid 3-2 in Saturday’s La Liga fixture.
Just 16 minutes into the game at Santiago Bernabeu, the Yellow Submarine found themselves behind, no thanks to defender Pau Torres’ own goal.
Starboy Chukwueze restored parity for the visitors when he raced past Nacho Fernandez to score his first goal in the 39th minute.
Brazilian winger, Vinicius Junior put Los Blancos in front again seven minutes later.
Substitute Jose Morales equalized for Villarreal in the 70th. Chukwueze then struck the 80th-minute winner from long range to hand Real Madrid their first home loss in the domestic league this season.
With his performance, Samuel Chukwueze became the second Villarreal player to score a brace in La Liga at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid, after Diego Forlan in May 2006.
