The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has warned prospective corps members to resolve any discrepancies in their graduation dates while online registration is still open. The announcement, posted on the NYSC’s official Twitter account on Tuesday evening, clarified that the agency will not amend graduation dates after corps members report to orientation camps or once state code numbers have been issued.
The NYSC instructed those with mismatched dates—between the information uploaded by their schools and the details on their Statement of Result—to contact their Student Affairs Officers (SAOs) immediately. Prospective corps members (PCMs) were cautioned not to proceed to the camps until the correction is made.
The notice stated: “All 2023 Batch A Stream 2 prospective corps members are to note that correction of any wrong date of graduation can only be treated by the NYSC during the online registration period up until the release of call‑up letters. The NYSC will not correct the date of graduation once PCMs report to orientation camps. Once a state code number is issued, the date of graduation can no longer be corrected. PCMs with discrepancies in the date of graduation on their Statement of Result and what was uploaded by their institutions to the NYSC portal are strongly advised to resolve the problem with their SAOs and should not proceed to camp until the correction is effected.”
Online registration for the 2023 Batch A Stream 2 runs from Tuesday, 11 April, to Monday, 17 April 2023.
