Man City worst opponents you can play – Chelsea manager, Potter

Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, has described Manchester City as the “worst opponent” you could come up against when your team is in bad form.

City thrashed the Blues 4-0 in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.

Their latest win over Potter’s men was the second in four days, as they had defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have won just one of their last seven matches in all competitions and are 10th in the Premier League.

Speaking after the game, Potter said: “This opponent is probably the worst opponent you can play when things aren’t going very well.

“They can make it look like you’re not running, like you’re not trying, because their positional structure is brilliant, they use the full width of the pitch, they keep the ball and make it difficult for you to put any pressure on them.”
