PDP conducts Bayelsa gov election primaries 

The elective state delegates congress of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Bayelsa State governorship election scheduled for November 11 is underway in Yenagoa.

The governor of the state, Douye Diri, is the only person cleared by the screening committee for the exercise.

The event is taking place at the Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre, Yenagoa, the state capital.

The ad-hoc delegates were drawn from the eight local government areas of the state.

The Governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke, is presiding over the primary election.
