Police stop armed theft operation in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command on Wednesday disclosed its operatives prevented an armed theft operation in Zone E Extension, Apo Resettlement Space, Abuja, on Wednesday.

The police additionally apprehended one Dahiru Muazu in reference to the armed theft operation.

“Federal Capital Territory Police Operatives hooked up to Apo Divisional Headquarters round 6 am on April 12, 2023, foiled an armed theft operation and arrested a suspect following a misery name acquired from Zone E Extension Apo Resettlement,” an announcement by the FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh learn.

It added that “Police operatives from Apo Division swiftly mobilised to the scene, and the hoodlums, on sighting the police crew, deserted an ash-coloured BMW automobile with Reg. No. ABJ 440 KX contained three plasma televisions and two laptops, which they’d stolen from one of many homes, and fled in several instructions. A pink Volkswagen Golf with Reg. No. LUY 899 KV was equally sighted across the neighborhood with its engine working. The automobile zoomed off upon the arrival of police operatives.

“The gallant operatives gave the fleeing automobile a scorching chase and intercepted it on the Video games Village Roundabout. The driving force was later recognized as Dahiru Muazu ‘M’. The suspect and reveals recovered are in custody whereas the investigation is in progress to arrest different fleeing suspects.”
