CBN reacts to alleged recruitment portal

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has responded to viral news about its recruitment portal.

Isa Abdulmumin, CBN’s Acting Director of Corporate Communications in a statement debunked the news on Thursday, describing the purported recruitment portal as fake and baseless.

The apex bank clarified that it is not carrying out any general recruitment exercise and will never request the BVN of intending applicants nor discriminate against persons with physical disabilities.

It advised Nigerians to be conscious of the activities of fraudsters.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the CBN is currently not carrying out any general recruitment exercise,” he said.
