Ex-Barcelona player, Turan, becomes Eyüpspor coach

Former Barcelona midfielder, Arda Turan, has become the new coach of a Turkish second-tier side, Eyüpspor.

This was disclosed on Friday by the Club Vice President, Fatih Kulaksız.

The new appointment is his first coaching assignment at the club.

Until his appointment, he had played for Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray, Medipol Başakşehir, and Barcelona.

“We signed a 1.5-year contract with Arda Turan for the position of technical director. We believe that we will achieve our goals with him,” Kulaksız said.

Eyüpspor is currently third in the Spor Toto 1st League with 57 points and 32 weeks left to play.
