Kaduna peaceful as INEC conducts rerun polls for State House of Assembly

Kaduna State was peaceful on Saturday as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, conducted a rerun election for candidates in some constituencies in three local government areas of the state.

Media Talk Africa recalls that the results of some constituencies were declared inconclusive after the general election of March 18, 2023.

Security operatives were in strategic places before the commencement of the re-run election in some of the affected three local government areas of Kaduna State on Saturday.

Media Talk Africa also observed that INEC materials arrived early. While voting was peaceful, some residents were seen going about their normal business as restriction of movement was not strictly enforced.
