A group, the Coalition For Good Governance and Economic Justice in Africa, has called for the zoning of the Office of the Senate President to the South-South geo-political zone. The group premised its position on the need to reward the South-South for the enormous sacrifice voters in the region made to ensure the victory of the President-elect, Senator Bola Tinubu. Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the convener of the group, former Commissioner for Information in Edo State, Kassim Afegbua, chided the South-East zone, claiming they did little for the All Progressives Congress during the February 25 presidential election, adding that as a result, the zone did not deserve to produce the President of the 10th Senate.
