Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate and Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, took to the streets to demand that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continue the collation of supplementary elections and conclude the process without further delay. The large crowd was led by prominent PDP chieftains and other stakeholders, who marched from the party’s office at the Police Roundabout overhead bridge to the INEC headquarters.

During the protest, some participants began destroying billboards belonging to the All Progressives Congress, particularly those featuring images of Bola Tinubu and other APC symbols. Authorities cautioned the demonstrators and urged them to exercise restraint. Felix Tangwami, Deputy Director‑General of the PDP Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council and a leading protester, appealed for calm, emphasizing the need for decorum.

Tangwami said the protest would not be a one‑day event but would continue until INEC accedes to the demand to resume collation and declare Governor Fintiri the winner. “Be peaceful and civil. We will lay siege to the INEC office until the Commission listens to us, resumes collation, and makes a return. Adamawa people are not happy; what has happened is treasonable and illegal. We will take our call to the streets to demand justice for as long as it takes. Please exercise restraint and decorum,” he urged.
