Ligue 1: Moffi up for Best African Player award

OGC Nice forward, Terem Moffi is in the running for Ligue 1 African best player for the 2022/23 season award.

Moffi is one of the 11 candidates nominated for the award named after former Cameroon midfileder, Marc-Vivien Foe.

The 23-year-old has scored 19 goals and recorded two assists in 29 league appearances this season.

It’s the first time Moffi has been nominated for the award.

His compatriot, Victor Osimhen won the award during his time with Lille in the 2019/20 season.

Among the players nominated for the award are Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco defender, Achraf Hakimi; Democratic Republic of Congo and Marseille centre-back, Chancel Mbemba; and Troyes star, Mama Balde.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday, May 30.
