CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United’s Acquah to undergo late fitness ahead Young Africans clash

Rivers United forward, Paul Acquah will undergo a late fitness test ahead of the Nigerian Champions CAF Confederation Cup clash against Young Africans of Tanzania on Sunday.

The Ghanaian midfielder sustained an injury in Rivers United’s final group game against ASEC Mimosa of Cote d’Ivoire in Yamoussoukro last month.

Media officer of the club, Charles Mayuku told Media Talk Africa that the player is back in training with his teammates but will need to be certified fit to be included in the matchday squad.

“Acquah is back in training with the rest of the team preparing for our game against Young African of Tanzania on Sunday. “he told Media Talk Africa

“He will be accessed by the coaches for final inclusion but he is training with the squad in Uyo.”

Acquah is a top scorer in the CAF Confederation Cup with five goals.
