NOA director shares secret to growth in civil service

The Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ebonyi, Titus Chima has educated civil servants on how to succeed.

Chima spoke on Thursday in Abakaliki, the capital, at a send-forth party held for four retirees in the state.

The director noted that workers who respect their superiors as well as the authorities grow in the system.

He described the civil service as “bureaucratic” and urged staff to continue to work hard in order to move Nigeria forward.

“You don’t just come to finish the job on the same day. Respect the authorities to grow in the system.

“It is only when you obey the rules in service that you can grow and retire peacefully,” Chima said.

He congratulated the retirees “who have served meticulously”, noting that it’s not easy to work for 35 years without problems.

The director prayed that “the good Lord will see them through” as they move on to other endeavours.

One of the retirees, Emma Abba, a pioneer director, urged the staff to always embrace teamwork to excel in the service.
