Rivers United boss, Eguma wants new approach for Young Africans clash

Rivers United head coach, Stanley Eguma, has revealed that his team is coming with a different approach against Young Africans of Tanzania in their CAF Confederation Cup match.

The Pride of Rivers will host the Tanzanian champions in the first leg of their quarter-final match at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Sunday.

Eguma disclosed during the pre- match interview that Rivers United are planning to work harder so as to make it to the semi-finals.

β€œWe are not relying on past performance, no two games are the same,” Eguma stated.

β€œI understand that Young Africans has rebuilt its team and they are doing well this time around in the domestic league, they also top their group in the confederation cup.”

It would be recalled that Rivers United defeated Young Africans in both legs of the CAF Confederations Cup in 2021.
