EPL: Chelsea could use wantaway player in deal to sign Osimhen ahead of Man Utd

Chelsea could use one of their wantaway players in a deal to sign Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, ahead of Manchester United.

Chelsea and Manchester United look set to go head-to-head in the battle to sign Osimhen from Napoli this summer transfer window.

Osimhen is enjoying a sensational season at Napoli, scoring 26 goals in 31 appearances to help Luciano Spalletti’s side go 14 points clear at the top of Serie A table.

However, Chelsea believe Osimhen could solve their goalscoring problems, having relied on Kai Havertz for much of the current season following striker Romelu Lukaku’s return to Italy last summer.

The Blues signed former Arsenal skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on deadline-day but his spell at Stamford Bridge has been disastrous as all parties are ready to cut ties at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea may have an upper hand over Manchester United as Napoli are interested in signing the Blues’ winger Hakim Ziyech and there is a feeling that the Moroccan could be used in a deal involving Osimhen.
