EPL: Owen tells Liverpool who to sign if Bellingham joins Real Madrid

Former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen, has told his former club to sign West Ham’s Declan Rice if Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham goes to Real Madrid this summer.

Rice has been linked with a move away from West Ham this summer, with links to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Rice’s current deal at the London Stadium is set to expire at the end of next season and he is yet to sign a new deal with the Hammers.

Bellingham, on the other hand, is reportedly in favour of a summer move to Real Madrid amid speculation surrounding his future.

Speaking on The Final Word, Owen was asked: “What if you can’t get the best? What if Jude Bellingham goes to Real Madrid, what’s your answer?”

The 43-year-old then replied: “Go and get the next best, try to get Declan Rice or get someone else who is of a top standard.”
