Sudan: Aircraft evacuating stranded Nigerians to arrive 11pm – NAF

The Nigerian Air Force has said its C-130H aircraft evacuating Nigerians stranded in Sudan from Egypt has departed Aswan.

Many Nigerians are stranded in Sudan following the ongoing crisis in the country.

However, on Wednesday, the Air Force spokesperson, Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa, in a terse message on Whatsapp confirmed that its aircraft is expected to land at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by 11:23 pm.

He said, “I am pleased to inform you that the NAF C-130H aircraft that went to evacuate Nigerians stranded in Sudan has departed Aswan and is expected to touch down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja by 2340hrs (11.23 pm) tonight. Anyone interested may wish to be at the airport to cover the event. Grateful.”
