Brighton’s stunning win at Emirates signals the end of Arsenal’s EPL title hopes – Patrick Vieira

Arsenal’s former captain Patrick Vieira has dubbed the Premier League title race over following Arsenal’s 3-0 loss to Brighton on Sunday.

The Gunners needed to win the game to stay in the title race, but their hope was dashed as they were outplayed on home ground by a rampant Brighton team.

Manchester City had earlier secured a crucial 3-0 win against Everton, which, according to Vieira, made it tough for Arsenal to put up a spirited fight against Brighton.

“It was a must-win game for Arsenal. They had a lack of energy and it looked like City’s result [against Everton] killed their legs,” Vieira said.

With Manchester City four points clear at the top of the table, Vieira believes it will be impossible for any other team to catch up, as City looks set to wrap up their third Premier League title in a row.

Vieira’s comments came as a bittersweet pill for Arsenal fans, who had hoped for a win against Brighton and continued momentum in their pursuit of the league title.

Manchester City, with just three fixtures left, now needs only three points to clinch the coveted trophy, adding yet another title to their recent domineering run in the English football scene.
