AMORC President Urges Nigerians to Stop Blaming the Devil for Misfortunes

The President of the Rosicrucian Order (AMORC), Dr Kenneth Idiodi, has called on Nigerians to stop blaming the devil or enemies for every misfortune they encounter. Speaking during the final session of the Order’s 2023 Lagos Zone Conclave held from May 12 to May 14, with a theme, “Practical Rosicrucian Tools for Nation Building”, Idiodi said superstitious beliefs had become part of the life of an average African person.

According to the AMORC president, the practice of believing that whatever bad that befalls one is caused by someone or the devil, hinders personal development and a good relationship with others. He emphasised that such a mindset has particularly been harmful to the development of the person and society at large.

Idiodi said, “A positive mindset will perceive things from a conscious knowledge perspective and work out pertinent solutions. The human society is fraught with challenges. When one sets his or her mind on the negative aspects of the challenges, it will be hard for such a person to come forth with a better solution. As people, we should rely more on our conscious knowledge of things to drive our national life towards correcting our undoings.”

The superstitious beliefs, according to Idiodi, have made the country’s development an elusive treasure for years. While stressing that development was not only for the Western world, the president urged Nigerians to deploy the same speed and zeal associated with embracing information technology to change their mindset and orientation in order to entrench growth.

In conclusion, Idiodi called on Nigerians to always approach challenges with a positive mindset and employ their knowledge to proffer solutions while eschewing superstitious beliefs.
