Baci’s 100-Hour Cook-a-thon Earns Her Global Recognition, Says House Speaker Gbajabiamila

The Nigerian Chef, Hilda Effiong Baci, has received global recognition for her accomplishment in completing a 100-hour cooking marathon on Monday, surpassing the previous Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila congratulated Baci on her record-breaking achievement, noting that it was due to the Nigerian can-do spirit that radiated from her.

In an official statement titled “World Record: Gbajabiamila Celebrates Hilda Baci’s Tenacity,” Gbajabiamila highlighted that Baci’s incredible feat has not only put Nigeria on the global map of resilience but has also inspired millions of youths worldwide to pursue their dreams with resilience, grit, and determination.

Baci, who is from Akwa-Ibom state, broke the previous record held by an Indian chef, Lata Tondon, who completed the task in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs in 2019. Nigerians, both home and abroad, are thrilled and proud of Baci’s achievement, which represents the tenacity of the Nigerian spirit.

Gbajabiamila who expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to Baci’s success, wished her more success in all her endeavours. Baci’s accomplishment is indeed an inspiration to many youths around the world and a testament to the resilience and can-do spirit of Nigerians.
