UUTH’s A&E Department Temporarily Relocated for Renovation

The University of Uyo Teaching Hospital (UUTH) has announced the temporary relocation of its Accident and Emergency (A&E) department to the former Community Officer’s Training School. The relocation is necessary to allow the hospital to renovate the A&E building and bring it up to the required standards expected of an institution like the UUTH.

The Assistant Director/Head of Information unit, Mr Umoh Offong, signed a statement released on Tuesday, which called on patients and the general public to cooperate and bear with the hospital during the six-month renovation period which commenced on May 22nd, 2023. The renovation is expected to be completed by November 2023.

This temporary relocation is part of UUTH’s effort to enhance its facilities and ensure it continues to deliver efficient healthcare services to patients.
