Losing EPL title to Man City hurts, says Saka

Arsenal sensational winger, Bukayo Saka, has said that losing the 2022/2023 English Premier League title to Manchester City.

Saka said this in an interview with Arsenal’s legend Ian Wright on Premier League Extra on Wednesday.

“It really hurts so much to even think about how we’ve ended this season and what could have been.

“But one thing I can say is, like you said, since the last two or three years that I’ve been playing, I’ve seen this team and the club grow.

“Time is on our side. You can look at our team and a lot of the players are young. We’re hungry, and a lot of us haven’t won trophies at Arsenal so we want to achieve big things,” the British-Nigerian added.

Mikel Arteta’s men recorded only two wins in the last eight fixtures and their 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest confirmed City as champions.

The Gunners led the way for most of the season but collapsed during the final weeks of the campaign.
