Jigawa’s Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar Dissolves Cabinet Ahead of May 29 Handover

In preparation for the upcoming May 29 handover, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has dissolved his cabinet. This announcement was made by the State Commissioner of Information Youth Sports and Culture, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, after the state’s valedictory executive council meeting, which was presided over by the governor.

The dissolution comprises the Secretary to the State Government and Head of Civil Service, all political appointees and commissioners, as well as heads of government parastatals and agencies.

Governor Abubakar has directed all affected officials to hand over to their permanent secretaries or senior officers in their respective MDAs. He expressed gratitude to all the executive members and appointees for their support and cooperation during his tenure.

As the May 29 handover approaches, the governor has taken a significant step in ensuring a smooth transition of power in Jigawa state.
