Enugu State Governor-elect, Barr Peter Mbah, has vowed to lead by example by upholding the rule of law in his administration. Soon after declaring his assets before the Code of Conduct Bureau in Enugu, he submitted his declaration forms, stating that the process was essential for transparency and accountability in governance.
Mbah emphasized that it was his responsibility to act lawfully as the Chief Executive, and submitting the forms was in line with the new direction of his career. As part of his commitment to upholding the requirements for all public officials, Mbah stressed that all those to be appointed to his administration would have to submit their assets declaration forms.
The CCB Federal Commissioner, Barrister Umeano, praised Mbah for setting an example by submitting his forms, stating that his submission demonstrated that he would lead by example as the chief law officer of the state. Umeano emphasized that the filling out of the CCB forms was mandatory and not optional for public officials.
Mbah’s declaration of assets is an important step towards transparency and accountability in governance.
