Women to hold Vice Chairmanship and Secretary positions in Niger State’s 25 LGAs – Gov Bago

During his inaugural speech, Governor Umar Mohammed Bago declared that women would hold the positions of Vice Chairman and Secretary of all 25 local government areas of Niger State under his administration.

In addition, the governor disclosed that 90% of those to be appointed to his cabinet would be youths. Bago stated that his government’s priority would be to provide better security and welfare to its citizens.

Former Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu, Senator Zaynab Kure, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, top politicians, royal fathers, and religious leaders were among the dignitaries present at the ceremony.
