New Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas Vows to Tackle Insecurity

The newly inaugurated Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has made a pledge to tackle the issue of insecurity that has plagued the state for decades and ensure the promotion of peaceful coexistence and sustainable development. His inaugural speech on Monday was centred on his plans to engage security experts, traditional institutions, professionals, youths, and other stakeholders in this quest.

The governor emphasised that his administration would prioritize the empowerment of Taraba’s youth and women and make it possible for the disabled to participate in the running of the state government. He maintained that his government would appoint only qualified individuals into the cabinet.

Governor Kefas, in his address, said: “We must all come together in spite of our ethnic, religious or political differences, to tackle insecurity in every corner of the state. I promise to ensure that all hands are on deck to achieve this critical objective.”

The people of Taraba State are hopeful that Governor Kefas’ promises will come to fruition and that his government will engender peaceful coexistence and development within the state, especially as insecurity has disrupted life and hindered progress in many parts of the State.
