Remo Stars’ Coach Confident Ahead of NPFL Super Six

The head coach of Remo Stars, Daniel Ogunmodede, has expressed his team’s readiness for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Super Six playoffs set to begin in Lagos this weekend. The Teslim Balogun Stadium in Onikan, Lagos will play host to all the matches.

Remo Stars will battle against Enyimba, Bendel Insurance, Rivers United, Sunshine Stars, and Lobi Stars for honours in the competition that will determine the winner of the 2022/23 NPFL season.

Speaking to the club’s media, Ogunmodede claimed that the Sky Blue team has set its sight on winning the competition. “We are going to Lagos to battle and strive to win the NPFL Super Six,” stated the young tactician, adding that “We are ready for all the teams.”

The coach’s optimism is not unfounded. Remo Stars ended the regular season on an impressive note, securing their spot in the tournament after finishing as runners-up in Group B2. The team put in a commendable performance, finishing behind league champions, Gombe United, by just a point.

The playoffs are expected to be fiercely contested, with all six teams eager to clinch the ultimate prize. With Remo Stars showing their determination to come out on top, fans can look forward to some thrilling performances from the young team.
