Deji Adeyanju Advocates for Appointment of Young People as Ministers

A public affairs analyst, Deji Adeyanju, has called on President Bola Tinubu to appoint young Nigerians as ministers, urging the President to select nine young people under the age of 40 among the 36 ministerial slots available.

Expressing his opinion on Twitter, the socio-political activist stated that it would be a waste of time to appoint former governors as ministers, and that young people shouldn’t be given insignificant “errand boy” roles in the government.

In his words, “Tinubu should appoint at least 9 young Nigerians into his cabinet as ministers out of the 36 slots, not giving young people errand boy positions.

“People under 40 not folks like us. We don old. Appointing former Govs as ministers is a waste of ministerial slot.”
