He’ll be greatly missed -Tinubu reacts to death of Sheikh Nasir

President Bola Tinubu has expressed unhappiness over the death of Kano’s foremost imam, Sheikh Nasir Muhammad Nasir.

In a Thursday assertion by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information to the President, Tinubu described the spiritual chief’s death as a loss for the nation due to his contributions to the unfold of information and rectitude.

“Sheikh Nasir will be long remembered for devoting almost his entire life to searching for and sharing knowledge. His voice would never be forgotten for his years of preaching love and righteousness.

“He will be greatly missed in Kano and beyond for his fearless advocacy for the downtrodden and ceaseless prayers for the country’s leaders.

“I condole with his family, followers, the emirs of Kano and Bichi, and the Kano State Government over this huge loss. I pray for the repose of the imam’s soul,” the President stated.

Media Talk Africa reported that Sheikh Nasir died on Wednesday on the age of 89.
