Former Governor, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has mentioned God brought President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima to heal and unite Nigeria.
Umahi made the comment whereas noting that the president was behind the emergence of Godswill Akapbio as the subsequent Senate President.
He spoke throughout an interview with Arise Television on Friday.
According to Umahi: “God brought Tinubu and Shettima to heal the nation and unify her and I want to commend them for the interest of this country, let’s put the nation ahead.
“All those that love this country have queued behind Akapbio as the next senate president. The PDP was against our Muslim-Muslim ticket, so why are they now against a Christian Senate presidency?
“I was one of the first people to signify interest for the Senate Presidency, having been the Chairman of the Southeast governors forum, but I should not be seen to opposing my president.”
