Kaduna State on High Alert for Democracy Day: NSCDC Deploys 2,000 Personnel

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 2,000 personnel across Kaduna State in preparation for Democracy Day on June 12. The commandant of the Kaduna State Command, Idris Yahaya Adah, gave the order for the deployment to ensure a hitch-free celebration.

In a statement released on Sunday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Habeeb Badamsi, Adah explained that Kaduna State serves as the centre of the north and needs adequate security personnel to maintain safety and order.

“We must beef up security at all times. Our men are up and doing to protect lives, property, and critical national infrastructure,” Adah emphasized. He expressed assurance of the safety of the lives and property of the people of Kaduna and urged them to carry on with their regular business activities.

Adah also advised the deployed officers to discharge their duties without partiality and protect critical national assets and infrastructure across the state. NSCDC personnel have been strategically positioned throughout the state and center of town to ensure adequate protection.

The deployment reflects non-negotiable plans to forestall possible threats to public order and safety as Nigeria celebrates the day set aside to engender Democratic rule.

As the nation counts down to Democracy Day, it is essential to embrace the significance of Nigeria’s path to democratic rule and the importance of maintaining peace. The NSCDC’s deployment aims to ensure that the 2021 Democracy Day is hitch-free and successful.
