Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta Turns Down PSG Offer to Join as New Manager

In an intriguing twist, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been approached by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to take over as their new manager. However, reports from RMC indicate that Arteta has declined their offer, opting to remain with the Gunners.

After dismissing Christophe Galtier earlier this month, the Ligue 1 champions are on the hunt for a new leader in the dugout. Galtier, who took over from Mauricio Pochettino last summer, lasted only one season at the Parc des Princes.

During his tenure, Galtier managed to secure the Ligue 1 title, albeit by a mere one-point margin. However, PSG’s Champions League campaign ended prematurely in the last 16, following a defeat to Bayern Munich.

Initially, it seemed Julian Nagelsmann, the former Bayern Munich boss, was on the verge of sealing the PSG managerial position. However, recent developments suggest that Nagelsmann is no longer interested, despite rejecting offers from both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

As the new season looms, PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, is now tasked with engaging other potential candidates for the managerial role. This decision holds significant importance, as PSG aims to reclaim their dominance, both domestically and on the European stage.
