PSG Set to Appoint Luis Enrique as New Manager

After negotiations with top candidates Mikel Arteta and Julian Nagelsmann fell through, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is now on the verge of sealing a deal with Luis Enrique as their new manager, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Ligue 1 champions have entered advanced talks with the former Barcelona boss, signaling their intent to secure his services for the upcoming season.

Luis Enrique will take over from Christophe Galtier, who had a short spell of just one season at the helm of the Parc des Princes.

Efforts to lure Mikel Arteta, the current Arsenal boss, and Julian Nagelsmann, the former Bayern Munich manager, were unsuccessful as both declined the offer from PSG.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted on Sunday, confirming the progress of negotiations: “Paris Saint-Germain are in advanced talks to appoint Luis Enrique as new head coach — as per L’Équipe. PSG cautious after Nagelsmann deal collapsed, but Luis Enrique has already accepted. Talks now on about staff and clauses. ‘No comment’ from Luis Enrique’s camp.”
