The new BIRS Chairman is to take over from Mrs Mimi Orubibi-Adzape, who was earlier relieved of her appointment by the governor.

Similarly, the governor on Friday appointed three persons to serve in the office of his deputy, Hon Sam Ode.

A statement by Alia’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, said Barr Musa Sulaiman Ujor was appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff, Iorshagher Ikyereve as Press Secretary and Lawrence Ogwuche as Deputy Private Secretary.

According to the statement, the appointments are to take immediate effect.

The appointees were charged to justify the confidence reposed in them by the state governor.
