In a recent statement, former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has clarified the purpose of his visit to the home of Emeka Ihedioha, the immediate past governor of the state. Contrary to speculations, Okorocha asserted that there is no political relationship between the two politicians.

Addressing journalists at his Spilbat mansion in Owerri, the state capital, Okorocha maintained that his visit to Ihedioha was solely motivated by a desire to commiserate with him over the loss of his mother.

Dismissing any notion of a political alliance, Okorocha stated, “I have no political romance with Ihedioha. I don’t have one and I don’t intend to have any.”

Elaborating on the purpose of his visit, Okorocha emphasized the significance of offering condolences during a time of mourning. “I know what it means to lose a mother and it was incumbent on me to identify with him at the moment of his grief. It is biblical. There is nothing special about it,” Okorocha said.
