Eid-el-Kabir: Peter Obi Calls on Muslims to Embrace Love and Patriotism

Former Vice Presidential candidate of the Labor Party, Peter Obi, has called on Muslims in Nigeria to imbibe the spirit of love, brotherliness, and peaceful co-existence as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

Obi delivered this message through a series of tweets on Wednesday, where he urged Muslim faithful to use the festive occasion to foster unity and recommit themselves to the values of love, patriotism, and national development.

“Sallah gives us ample opportunities to appreciate our creator whose mercy and grace towards us are immense, even when we do not deserve them,” Obi stated.

He went on to encourage Nigerian Muslims to use this solemn period of Sallah to seek divine intervention for the challenging situations facing the nation.

“I urge Nigerians to embrace the values that unite and bind all citizens in love. Let us move past all divisive tendencies,” Obi emphasized.

Obi concluded his message by reminding everyone not to lose sight of the true essence and meaning of Eid-el-Kabir, with its promise of a brighter future for Nigeria.

“We should not despair and miss the divine succour that Eid-el-Kabir brings. A new Nigeria is possible,” Obi affirmed.

Wishing everyone a happy Sallah celebration, the former Vice Presidential candidate emphasized the importance of unity and love in building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
