A witness, Mr. Bonet Gwaza, appeared before the Kaduna State governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Kaduna on Tuesday to present the BVAs report for the 23 local government areas.

Among other exhibits presented to the court are the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, form EC40G for Igabi west constituency.

Mr. Gwaza, who is a system analyst with the INEC, also presented to Justice Victor Oviawie-led panel the voters’ register for Kauru, Lere, Zaria and Igabi local government areas.

However, the presentation of the exhibits to the tribunal by the representative of INEC followed the subpoena application filed by the legal team of the 1st and 2nd respondents, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its governorship candidate, Isa Ashiru.

The case has been adjourned to today, Wednesday, 12th July, 2023, for the continuation of cross-examination of the witness.
