Transfer: Nigeria’s Bassey reaches agreement to join EPL club

Nigerian defender, Calvin Bassey has reached an agreement in principle to join Premier League club Fulham this summer.

Sky Sports News reports that Bassey, who currently plays for Ajax, is set to join Fulham for around £18 million.

The report added that Fulham is close to an agreement with Southampton over Mohammed Salisu’s signature for £15 million.

It is said that Fulham are leaning towards Salisu but there is no final decision yet as personal terms will be a factor.

Meanwhile, Ajax coach, Maurice Steijn, had since advised Bassey to accept an offer from Fulham.

Bassey, 23, joined Ajax from Rangers last year.
