The annual vacation of judges of the Rivers State High Court will begin on August 1, 2023, and end on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.
This was disclosed on Monday by the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Chibuzor-Amadi.
The chief judge, in a statement signed by the Chief Registrar, Rivers State High Court, David Ihua Maduenyi, said the vacation is according to Order 49, Rule 4 of High Court of Rivers State Civil Procedure Rule, 2023.
The statement revealed that all judicial divisions of the High Court shall remain closed during the vacation and that normal court sitting shall resume on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
It also disclosed that any urgent matter filed during the vacation shall be entertained by any of the vacation judges to be appointed by the chief judge.
