Borno Governor Commissions Ultra Modern Classroom Complex

Borno State Governor, Professor Zulum, commissioned an ultramodern classroom complex at the Idimi Trust Islamic Centre in Maiduguri, the state capital, in the presence of Dr Mohammadu Idimi, the Centre’s co-founder.

The complex includes modern classrooms, an auditorium, management offices, and a beautiful landscape, among other features. The Indimi Trust Islamic Centre also celebrated the graduation of its first Tahfiz section graduates – a group of 10 students who successfully memorized the holy Qur’an while still under the age of 18.

Alhaji Usman Muhammad, the Director of the Indimi Trust Islamic Centre, delivered the welcome address, extending a warm welcome to all the dignitaries present at the event. In his remarks, he provided a brief history of the Centre, which started 31 years ago with only a few pupils/students and has since achieved remarkable success.

Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to the co-founder for such a humanitarian act and prayed to God for the centre’s continued success. He also prayed for the co-founder on his 76th birthday.

The Governor also mentioned that in the last few years, he has established the sangaya and Islamic board, which consists of 2775 sangaya learning centres and 851 Islamic centres in the state, to combine the two systems of learning for children to have the best and to incorporate western education for maximum benefit.

” I will soon invite all the ulemas in the state to discuss having an academic calendar for all the Islamic learning Centres.”

He gifted 10 million naira to the first graduands of the Tahfiz.
