Muslim-Muslim Presidency: Nigerians Embrace Change, Says Pastor Sarah Omakwu

In the wake of the controversial Muslim-Muslim presidency in Nigeria, Pastor Sarah Omakwu, Senior Pastor of Family Worship Centre, advises Christians not to passively accept the situation. Despite initial outcry from various Christian bodies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, the winners of the February 25 presidential election. However, the issue has gradually faded out of public discourse.

During a recent address to her congregation, Pastor Omakwu expresses concern over the complacency shown by Nigerians. She highlights the inconsistency in accepting the Muslim-Muslim presidency while also expressing opposition to it. Pastor Omakwu questions the legitimacy of a government that excludes religious diversity and encourages her listeners to reconsider their acceptance of this situation. She challenges the notion of supporting individuals aspiring to positions within the government that she considers illegitimate.
