NSCDC Launches Safe Schools Response Squad in Zamfara

In a bid to align with international best practices, the Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has officially inaugurated the Safe School Response Squad. This move comes as part of the Commandant-General, Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Audi’s Safe School Initiative program, aimed at revitalizing and repositioning the Corps.

The launch of the squad follows a series of directives issued by Audi during the last quarterly meeting held at the National Headquarters in Abuja. Commandant Sani Mustapha, the State NSCDC Commander, affirmed his commitment to fully comply with the Commandant-General’s orders.

As a testament to this commitment, Mustapha has procured an official vehicle for the Safe Schools Response Squad, in addition to providing all necessary support. Furthermore, he revealed that fruitful discussions have been ongoing with the state government regarding the establishment of an operational base for the Corps in Zamfara State.
