Peter Obi’s Presence at Senator Barau’s Son’s Wedding Symbolizes Unity in Nigeria, Says Akpabio

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, has hailed the attendance of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, at the wedding Fatiha of Amir, the son of Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, as a significant indication of a united Nigeria.

Speaking after the event in Kano on Friday, Akpabio highlighted that the presence of numerous high-profile personalities at the wedding ceremony attests to Senator Barau’s reputation as a peace-loving man of the people.

“You can see that even Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his team are here; this tells you that Nigeria will remain united as one entity,” he said.

The wedding Fatiha, graced by Vice President Kashim Shettima, united Amir and Bilkisu Aliyu Sani Madaki, the daughter of Aliyu Sani Madaki, the Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.

The exquisite event took place at the Isyaka Rabiu Juma’at Mosque, Goron Dutse, Kano State.
