Chinese President Pledges Unwavering Backing for African Integration

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Chinese leader Xi Jinping recently co-chaired a China-Africa roundtable in Johannesburg, during the BRICS Summit. The BRICS bloc, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, aims to foster stronger ties between developing economies.

Xi Jinping commended the joint statement between China and Africa, emphasizing its significance in affirming China’s steadfast support for African integration. He stressed that this statement would serve as a powerful voice to the international community, fostering solidarity and cooperation in international affairs and promoting justice.

Echoing this commitment, President Xi announced China’s forthcoming initiatives and plans to support Africa’s industrialization, agricultural modernization, and education. He expressed his belief that robust African integration, coupled with China’s own modernization efforts, would not only stimulate global economic growth but also contribute to international fairness and justice.

By embracing African unity and progress, China is poised to become a catalyst for positive change on the global stage.
