In a saddening turn of events, Major-General Bernard Onyeuko (rtd), a former military spokesperson, has passed away.
The ex-Director of Defence Media Operations breathed his last on Saturday morning after complaining of a cold and subsequently being rushed to a private hospital.
Fondly remembering his colleague, Garba Shehu, the former spokesman of President Muhammadu Buhari, offered his prayers and expressed his hope that Onyeuko finds eternal peace.
“Just received the shocking news of the demise of our dear friend, Major-General Bernard Onyeuko (rtd), the former military spokesperson.
“May the Almighty grant strength to his family as they bear this loss. Rest in peace.” he tweeted.
